Michael LaPointe is the author of The Creep, a novel published by Random House Canada (2021).

He has written for The New Yorker, The Atlantic, The New York Times, and the Times Literary Supplement, and he wrote the "Dice Roll" column for The Paris Review. His fiction has appeared in The Walrus and Hazlitt. He has been nominated for the National Magazine Awards, the Journey Prize, and the Digital Publishing Awards, and his work has been anthologized in Best Canadian Stories and Best Canadian Essays.

He wrote Operation Morning Light, an eight-part documentary podcast series from Imperative Entertainment and Vespucci, which was nominated for the IDA Documentary Awards.
